This is a unique and interesting opportunity for someone who loves working with numbers and HR/payroll databases, enjoys analytical work and is customer service focused. HR Works is a well-established, 24-year old human resource consulting firm supporting a national client base including Fortune 500 corporations. Our rapidly growing HRMS division is recruiting immediately for an HR and Payroll Specialist at our Rochester, NY headquarters.
Key Responsibilities include:
o Consolidate data from multiple sources and review for completeness and accuracy
o Identify data irregularities and prepare follow up questions and suggested actions to resolve them
o Prepare data for import into HRMS
o Provide first level phone and email support to clients processing payroll on ADP Workforce Now and Pay eXpert platforms
o Set up report templates and run reports as requested
o Troubleshoot system access concerns
o Provide ongoing support and training to clients on reporting and security management
o Assist team project managers by researching questions from clients and other support tasks as needed
o Update HRMS tables and benefit plan rates
o Apply knowledge of HR/Payroll compliance and best practices while creating FAQ training guides for common HRMS tasks
Required
Experience:
o Knowledge of ADP's Workforce Now or Enterprise solutions a plus
o Minimum one to two years of working knowledge of payroll processing, tax filing and reporting required
o Experience with administering HR/Benefits process and policies beneficial
o Outstanding customer service and an entrepreneurial spirit
o High attention to detail
o Proficiency with many of the intermediate/advanced features found in Microsoft Office preferred - tables, mail merges, pivot tables, statistical and logical formulas
Required Education:
o BA/BS Degree preferred, or equivalent experience with current professional experience
o ADP Payroll certification preferred, or willingness to obtain

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
