Hi, I have for sale a nice vintage banjo that I believe to be made by Slingerland for Wurlitzer. It is a 17 fret tenor banjo in good vintage condition. The headstock is marked with a nice mother of pearl design. The head is in good shape with no rips or tears that I can see. The bridge is not marked. The action seems good, but might be a bit on the high side. I have not done any adjustments to the neck. The strings are new D'addario. The dowel stick is marked Wurlitzer. The tailpiece is not marked but appears to be an older one. The nut looks to be bone, and the tuners appear to be original to the banjo. They seem to work OK for their age. This banjo does have a tone ring that seems to be perhaps 1/4" in size. Everything else appears to be pretty good and the banjo sounds nice when played. I believe that all the brackets match, and I think they are original to the banjo but I can't be certain. I don't think this banjo ever had a resonator. This banjo is about 31" in length and the head is about 11" across. It doesn't have a case, but will be packed very carefully for safe arrival. I am selling this banjo as is, with no returns.
